Our Official Accessibility Partner
We work in partnership with AccessAble, the UK’s leading provider of Detailed Access Guides.
AccessAble has created Detailed Access Guides to 28 areas of the NEC, including all exhibition halls, car parks, The Atrium, The Gallery, The Piazza, and The Skywalk.
These guides are made up of 100% factual information, photographs, and measurements, all checked in person by trained surveyors, helping visitors make informed decisions before travelling.

The NEC Birmingham, B40 1NT
The NEC is a world-class exhibition venue with excellent transport links and accessible facilities throughout.
Opening Times
- Wednesday 25 March 2026: 09:30 – 16:30
- Thursday 26 March 2026: 09:30 – 16:00
Visitors are welcome to leave and re-enter the event during opening hours. We encourage everyone to take breaks as needed and make use of seating and quiet areas throughout the venue.
Parking & Arrival
Blue Badge Parking
- Free parking for Blue Badge holders
- No pre-booking required
- Please display your badge clearly on arrival
- Onsite staff will direct you to the most suitable car park
All other visitors are encouraged to pre-book parking to save money and make arrival easier.
Mobility Equipment Hire
The NEC has a fleet of mobility equipment available to hire on a first-come, first-served basis which can be booked here.
Available equipment:
- Wheelchairs: £5 per hire
- Mobility scooters: £20 per hire
Bookings typically open around three months before the event. We strongly recommend booking early, as availability is limited.
Please note:
- Equipment is available during show opening hours only
- Card payment only
- Pre-booked equipment is held until 13:00 on the booked day
- Collection points may vary - details will be confirmed when booking
If you have your own mobility equipment, we recommend bringing it with you where possible.
Carers & Personal Assistants
All carers and personal assistants require their own ticket.
- If selected during registration, you’ll receive a link to register your carer
- If details aren’t known in advance, tickets can be arranged at the registration desk on arrival

Seating, Food & Drink
Seating is available throughout the venue, including quieter areas.
A range of food and drink options are available inside Hall 20. In the Naidex catering area, visitors can use QR codes on tables to order food directly to their table.
Accessible Facilities
The NEC provides excellent accessible facilities, including:
- Accessible toilets across the venue
- A Changing Places toilet located in the Atrium between Hall 19 and Hall 20
- Hoist
- Height-adjustable adult changing bench
- Space for carers
There will also be:
- 2 HDUs onsite
- 4 trailer-mounted accessible toilets located next to the HDUs
Quiet Space
We understand that events can feel overwhelming at times. A Quiet Space is available for visitors who need time away from the show environment.
- Comfortable seating and tables
- Open to anyone who needs a break

Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are very welcome at Naidex.
A dedicated Paws & Pause area is available where dogs can rest, rehydrate, and access outside space.

🚪 Toilet access via VE Door 20.4
We kindly ask that assistance dogs wear a harness, lead, or jacket where possible and remain under control at all times.
Vision & Hearing Support
To support visitors with vision or hearing impairments, we provide:
- BSL interpreters at every Main Stage seminar
- BSL interpreters available on request for other theatres
- SpeakSee automatic live captioning software
- Hearing loops available in selected areas of the NEC

Medical & Personal Support
- First aid services are available onsite throughout the event
- If you require assistance with medication, personal care, or access needs, please speak to the NEC or event information desk on arrival
Photography & Filming
Photography and filming may take place during the event for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please speak to a member of staff onsite.
