Travel
There are a number of ways to get to the NEC, and we’ve got all the key information below to help make your journey as easy as possible.
By Car
You’ll find us clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 - just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav to get to the NEC Site.
Our post code will not take you to the car park for your event, so once on site, please ignore your Sat Nav and follow signage to the event carpark instead.
After parking, simply jump on our free shuttle bus, or take a leisurely stroll along our signposted footpaths.

Free parking for blue badge holders

Blue Badge Parking at the NEC has changed for Naidex 2026 and an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system will be in operation.
Blue badge parking is still free for Naidex visitors. If you selected Blue Badge Parking upon registration, the Naidex team has sent out a batch of codes.
If you did not select Blue Badge Parking when registering or did not get a code pre event, please do not worry.
Anyone who has not prebooked will be able to validate their Blue Badge parking onsite by collecting a QR code from a member of the NEC staff and validating this at the pay on foot machines within the venue. Contact

By Train
The closest Train Station is Birmingham International.
Direct services run all day, however if you’re travelling from further afield you may need to catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street, which is less than a 15-minute journey away.
There is a Shuttle Bus running from Birmingham International Rail station to the NEC venue entrance. The Shuttle Bus will run throughout the whole event.
The NEC entrance is on the right hand side as you exit the station, and is clearly signposted.
Many train services run direct to Birmingham International. If yours doesn't, you can catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street. There are regular services, and the journey only takes 10-15 minutes. Buses to the NEC can be caught at Birmingham Moor Street and Solihull stations.

Travelling via London? You can book Passenger Assist staff assistance in advance at least 2 hours ahead of your journey on London Overground, the Elizabeth line and at 30 London Underground stations. Alternatively, you can use Transport for London’s turn up and go service instead. Use Journey Planner or the TfL Go app for live journey planning and travel information.
Passenger Assist
Travelling to Naidex by train? Did you know you can use Passenger Assist which is the service the rail industry offers to help disabled passengers and those with restricted mobility travel safely and with confidence. This can be requested up to two hours in advance via any of the methods below or you can simply turn-up-and go at a station on your day of travel:

By Bus & Coach
Coach services are operated by National Express and Megabus, with frequent daily services from across the UK to Birmingham Airport.
From here you can get to the NEC via the free air-rail link, which takes just 90 seconds and runs every two minutes.
Jumping on a bus in Birmingham City Centre? You’ll want the X1 service (every 15 minutes) or the 97A (every 30 minutes).
By Plane
Simply take the free and fast air-rail link to Birmingham International Railway Station located at the upper level of Terminal 1.
The train runs every two minutes and only takes 90 seconds. When you arrive just head straight through to the NEC.
By Taxi
NEC has teamed up with TOA Taxis to ensure a safe, friendly service is available to you 24/7 at the NEC.
You can book over the phone by calling 0121 427 8888 or 0800 0142 729, online or via their handy app.
Alternatively, pick one up at the clearly marked ranks outside the NEC main entrances.
For added convenience TOA Taxis accept all major credit cards, subject to a charge of 10%+VAT.
Other Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles
If you plan to arrive at the NEC using other Taxi or Private Hire provider you will be dropped off at either the Piazza drop off and pick up area or the Atrium entrance.
If you are being picked up by other Taxi or Private Hire provider, you will need to go to the Private Hire pick up area. You will find one located at either the Piazza or Atrium, a short walk from the main entrances. The location of these is shown on our site plan.
