A Falls Prevention Project was undertaken on behalf of Herts Care Providers, East & North Herts and Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Groups and Hertfordshire County Council.
Selected homes received training in a variety of aspects of care, including Falls Prevention. Both Champions and managers attended training, enabling a Falls Strategy to be put in place.
Benefits of this resulted in a drop in A&E attendances and increased mobility among the resident.
