Care pathways and increased pressure on budgets dictate, that when considering the complex needs of a patient, pressure care and moving and handling come first. Often Posture is the poor relation, sometimes it’s not considered at all, especially when there is no provision for postural equipment. In this seminar we will discuss the importance of 24hr postural care. We will identify the basic health economics of addressing postural needs and identify how clinicians can manage posture without compromising pressure care or moving and handling.
