Emma is the founder and writer of Simply Emma, a leading travel and disability blog focused on accessible travel and life experiences from a wheelchair user’s perspective. Emma has a muscle wasting condition called Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, and uses a wheelchair.
Founded in 2014, the aim of Simply Emma is to encourage others, with or without a disability, to travel more and make new discoveries, whether that’s abroad or in your own hometown.
Emma is also an ambassador for Euan’s Guide and Mobiloo, as well as a columnist for Able Magazine and the Falkirk Herald newspaper. Most recently named on the ‘Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 List’ as one of the UK’s leading disability influencers and received the Points of Light award by the Prime Minister for her work raising awareness around disability and accessibility through her blog, writing and volunteer work.
