Elaine Hollerhead
Elaine is an Independent Practitioner but previously had a long career as an Occupational Therapist, employed in managerial and Senior Clinical roles in both NHS and Local Authority settings . In 2009 she studied Interior Design at The National Design Academy in Nottingham and was awarded the prestigious Diploma in Professional Interior Design.
Passionate about Interiors and the effect of décor and room design on mental health and physical function, Elaine decided to leave the NHS in 2011 and set up her own Company DESIGNATE – Housing Adaptations Interior Design & Colour Consultancy - specialising in Inclusive Design . By retaining her HCPC Registration, combining her two skill sets, working closely with architects, multidisciplinary teams and most importantly with her clients, Elaine now creates environments that are beautiful, safe, functional, enabling, future-proofed but non-clinical so that individuals and families can achieve and enjoy harmonious 21st century aspirational living.
