Domenica Russo has over 23 years experience working as an Occupational Therapist. She graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia in 1998 with a first class Honours Bachelors of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. Domenica has published in international journals and presented her research findings at professional conferences in Australia and Canada. Her research projects undertaken at the Univiersity of Sydney include Return to Work Outcomes associated with Occupational Rehabilitation; and Education of Parents with Intellectual Disability in Child Health and Safety. Since moving to the Unitied Kingdom in 2000; Domenica has lead teams and gained expertise in a diversity of areas including A&E Admission Avoidance; in patient rehabilaton, Community Rehabilitation, Manual Handling, Double Handed Care Reviews, Major Adaptations, specialist bathroom and seating equipment, eligibiliity assessments for travel concessions, and transport risk assessments for children and young people with special educational needs.
Domenica has been working with SHA since 2013. She is HR and Operations Manager for SHA. Her work involves Contract Management, Mobilisation of new contracts, Co-ordinating the SHA CPD Program, development and review of processes and assessment tools in line with best practice guidance . She oversees and manages the SHA contracts relating to Contnuing Health Care, Equipment and Adaptations, Double Handed Care Reviews; Eligibility Assessments for travel concessions and Personalised Parking Bays; Transport Risk Assessments for children and adults.
