Continuing professional development (CPD) is an important way in which registrants maintain their professionalism and fitness to practise, and is a requirement of registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This session will explain the HCPC approach to CPD and the audit process, including a discussion about the range of activities.

About Alex Urquhart

Alex Urquhart joined the Health and Care Professions Council in 2014. After two years working as an Education Officer, he was appointed Stakeholder Communications Officer. Alex is responsible for communicating the HCPC’s standards and processes to a wide range of audiences including registrants, employers and students. Before joining the HCPC, Alex studied International Social Policy at the University of Kent.
