OT CPD, our Official Training Partner for next month’s Naidex Roadshow South, has revealed an exciting preview of what neuro rehabilitation professionals can expect from its hands‑on CPD workshops, from practical skill‑building to fresh clinical insights designed to elevate everyday practice.

For professionals who have previously attended the Neuro Rehab Show, Naidex Roadshow South provides another opportunity to access practical education relevant to neurological rehabilitation, while also experiencing the wider exhibition.

The CPD workshops will be delivered by health professionals and experienced clinicians, using specialist equipment to explore techniques, clinical considerations and different approaches to supporting rehabilitation.

Commenting on partnering with Naidex, OT CPD said: “We are proud to partner with Naidex to deliver the standard of hands-on, in-action CPD that OT CPD stands for, giving neuro rehabilitation professionals the opportunity to see equipment being used, explore techniques, question different approaches and leave with practical knowledge they can apply within their own clinical practice.”

The workshops will cover:

Postural management and specialist seating

OT CPD’s sessions will explore how positioning and appropriate seating can transform posture, comfort, pressure management, function and participation for people living with long-term neurological conditions. Using specialist seating solutions, including equipment from Seating Matters and Accora, delegates will be able to consider how different approaches can respond to changing and complex needs.

Mobilisation and maintaining function

Attendees will also discover practical ways of supporting movement and participation. Sessions will consider how equipment can be used to facilitate rather than replace an individual's abilities, with a focus on promoting independence and supporting rehabilitation goals wherever possible.

Moving and handling

Transfers, repositioning and practical techniques for individuals with reduced or changing physical ability. Delegates will explore how the choice of technique and equipment can influence safety, participation and the level of assistance required.

Falls prevention and falls management

These sessions will consider both reducing risk and responding appropriately when a fall occurs. Practical demonstrations will feature solutions such as the Raizer 2, giving professionals an opportunity to explore different approaches to supporting someone safely from the floor.

Delegates will also explore positioning and movement in bed, alongside specialist equipment for activities such as showering and bathing, considering how appropriate solutions can support function, dignity and independence throughout the rehabilitation pathway.

Throughout the workshops, the emphasis is not simply on what equipment can do, but on how and why different solutions may be selected and how they can be incorporated into a person-centred rehabilitation approach.
