Visitors to Naidex will have a unique opportunity to explore both expert occupational therapy advice and the launch of an innovative new adjustable bed when they visit Laybrook on Stand N-A4.
Unlike many domestic adjustable bed purchases, where decisions are often made based on sales advice alone, Laybrook will have two experienced Occupational Therapists available on the stand offering free profiling bed suitability assessments throughout the event.
Visitors can speak directly with:
- Jane Miller– former Principal Occupational Therapist for Kent County Council with extensive experience in community equipment and complex care.
• Mike Cowan-Jones – private Occupational Therapist from Arms Rehab specialising in moving and handling, neurological conditions and neurodiversity.
These clinicians will provide informal on-stand assessments, helping visitors understand whether a profiling bed is suitable for their needs by discussing mobility, transfers, positioning, comfort and sleep support. They will also offer guidance on funding pathways and equipment suitability, giving reassurance that the right questions are being asked before making a purchase.
Alongside the clinical advice available, Laybrook will also be launching the new Evove Volume 2 adjustable bed, designed specifically to help couples continue sleeping together even when their care needs differ.
The bed features independent profiling mechanisms on each side, allowing each partner to adjust their sleeping position individually while sharing the same bed. It also introduces customised profiling mechanisms designed to better support people below 5ft 5 and above 5ft 5, providing improved body alignment and comfort. With reinforced profiling and higher weight limits per side, the system is designed to safely support partners with different body types and support requirements.
