Two of the UK’s most established and respected care-sector events - UK Care Week and The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Show - have officially merged to create a new, unified national event: Care & Dementia Expo.

Launching 25–26 March 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, and running in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, the event brings together the full breadth of the care and dementia communities at a time when the sector is calling for stronger connection, innovation and support.

A New Identity for a More Connected Care Landscape

The creation of Care & Dementia Expo marks a significant evolution for both legacy events. By combining the workforce, leadership and care-delivery focus of UK Care Week with the clinical depth and public support foundations of The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Show, the new event provides a single, national destination for care professionals, dementia specialists and family carers.

The event aims to elevate standards of care, strengthen collaboration across health and social care, and give both professionals and families access to practical tools, training and insights that directly improve day-to-day support for people living with dementia.

Part of the UK’s Largest Disability, Care & Accessibility Platform

Care & Dementia Expo now sits within a wider ecosystem of co-located events including Naidex, Naidex Junior, Business Without Barriers and Neuro Rehab.
This creates the UK’s most comprehensive platform for disability, care, rehabilitation and independent living.

A single ticket offers access to all five events, enabling deep cross-sector collaboration between social care providers, clinical specialists, local authorities, training organisations, innovators, voluntary services and lived-experience communities. This unique structure mirrors the reality of care in the UK - interconnected, multi-disciplinary, and reliant on partnership.

A National Event for Everyone Involved in Dementia and Care

Care & Dementia Expo will bring together a broad audience from across the care sector, including residential and domiciliary care providers, nursing and care home managers, local authorities, social workers, allied health professionals, dementia care specialists, researchers, training organisations and voluntary sector leaders.

The event is also an important space for families and unpaid carers seeking guidance, reassurance and practical support. Whether navigating a new diagnosis, exploring options for care, or adapting daily routines, visitors can access trusted information and real-world advice directly from leading organisations.

What to Expect at Care & Dementia 2026

The 2026 edition will feature a fully CPD-accredited programme offering up to 12 CPD points, with expert-led sessions covering person-centred care, communication strategies, behavioural support, dementia-friendly environments, digital transformation in care settings, workforce development and emerging policy insights.

Alongside the conference programme, the Innovation Hub will present new technologies and solutions designed to improve safety, wellbeing and independence - from assistive tools and care-management platforms to sensory support, environmental design and training resources. Each solution is presented in a practical, hands-on format to support genuine evaluation and adoption.

Training2Care will return with three of the sector’s most impactful immersive training experiences: the Virtual Dementia Tour®, which helps delegates experience the sensory impact of dementia first-hand, the Dementia Interpreters Workshop®, which strengthens understanding of communication cues and behaviours in people living with dementia and the Autism Reality Experience. Visitors can also access 1-to-1 Advice Clinics with Admiral Nurses from Dementia UK, alongside workshops and talks tailored for family carers, offering strategies for communication, daily support, wellbeing and navigating the challenges that come with dementia care.

A Stronger National Platform for the Future of Care

The merger between UK Care Week and The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Show creates an essential annual destination for everyone who supports people living with dementia - from practitioners on the front line to families providing daily care.

By combining professional development, practical training, product innovation and lived-experience insight, Care & Dementia Expo aims to help strengthen the sector at a time when demand, complexity and expectations continue to rise.
