A young child wearing leg braces walks down a grassy hill while holding a red polka-dot ball, smiling at a small dog running beside them. Trees and greenery fill the background, creating a lively outdoor scen

Thuasne, a manufacturer of wearable medical devices, is taking bookings for one-hour assessments at Neuro Rehab, giving visitors the chance to trial its Agilik smart powered orthosis.

Agilik is a lightweight solution that can help people walk with a straighter, more controlled leg by assisting knee extension during stance, reducing knee collapse, facilitate knee extension in swing, and improve gait stability.

The device is designed for children and adults with leg weakness or reduced control, and is ideal for people with conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida or MS who can walk but experience challenges like knees giving way, staying bent, locking back, or difficulty lifting the foot when stepping.

For many individuals, walking may often be slow, tiring, and less stable, sometimes requiring a stick or frame.

Thuasne believes Agilik can help overcome these barriers - the sensor-guided device is designed to enhance support and confidence, helping users walk more comfortably and securely.

Thuasne will exhibit at Naidex stand NR-E20 at the NEC on March 25-26.
