Accessible driving solutions provider, Mobility in Motion, has joined forces with Amputation Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to supporting individuals living with limb loss.
The partnership marks a shared commitment to improving the lives of amputees by combining resources, expertise, and outreach efforts.
Together, the two organisations will work to promote greater access to mobility driving solutions, raise awareness, and create meaningful support opportunities for those navigating life after amputation.
Mobility in Motion hopes to broaden the charity’s reach by signposting customers to its services, including legal advice, guidance on choosing prosthetics, practical workshops and critical support groups. Conversely, the Amputation Foundation will connect the people it supports with Mobility in Motion’s range of products and raise awareness around the possibilities of driving and travelling post-amputation.
The partnership was recently launched through participation in one of Amputation Foundation’s online support groups, where the Mobility in Motion team had the opportunity to speak with individuals supported by the charity.
During the session, team members introduced their products, while gaining insights into the real-life challenges and experiences of the limb loss community.
“It was incredibly powerful to listen and learn from the group,” said Bruce Lauder, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mobility in Motion. “We’re not just providing products, we’re aiming to make a difference in people’s lives, and working with Amputation Foundation helps us do that in a more informed, compassionate way.”
Mobility in Motion shared with Naidex that it is now collaborating with the Amputation Foundation on a product set to launch in October. The company believes the charity’s real-world feedback will help ensure its messaging is authentic, while also providing valuable insights for its engineering team.
Looking ahead, the partnership will include collaborative appearances at in-person events, shared content campaigns, and coordinated efforts to highlight the work each organisation does.
“We’re thrilled to partner with a company that not only offers cutting-edge mobility driving solutions but also shares our passion for empowerment and advocacy,” said Deborah Boardman, Operations Director at Amputation Foundation.
“Together, we can expand our reach and offer even more value to the amputee community.”
