Trekinetic was founded in 2006 by visionary engineer Mike Spindle with the belief that wheelchair users should have the same access to our planet as everyone else. With the confidence that wheelchairs could be better, lighter, more comfortable and more versatile, Trekinetic set out to build a brand new type of wheelchair. Trekinetic's unique 3 wheel design means their wheelchairs can cope with pretty much any terrain imaginable, including mud, sand, snow and gravel. The lightweight, front wheel drive system means it's extremely easy to manoeuvre and equally happy around town or off-road. Like most modern vehicles, Trekinetic did away with the traditional metal chassis and replaced it with a super lightweight carbon fibre seat. This reduces the weight of the chair, whilst keeping it strong and means the seat more closely resembles the curves of the human body than traditional designs. This typically means less padding and more support. In a recent customer survey our chairs scored an average of 4.3 out of 5 for comfort, with 87% saying that it had given them more independence.
