Precision Rehab

Stand: NDX-B150

On stand B150 Precision Rehab will be unveiling the revolutionary iBOT PMD powerchair by Mobius Mobility.  Precision Rehab is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of bespoke powerchairs with over 30 years’ experience in the assessment, sales & servicing of specialist powerchairs, and is the official supplier of iBOT , Paravan, New Live, Eurovema and TrackMaster powerchairs in the UK & Ireland. The company is also an authorised supplier of Dietz & Quickie Sunrise powerchairs.

The iBOT features the latest in powerchair electronics, sensors, battery technology and software to enable the user to overcome barriers to their independence which have previously been inaccessible.  The iBOT has four different driving modes which combine to make it suitable for almost any environment.

Balance Mode provides extra height which enables the user to travel in a raised position and at the same height as their friends, family members or work colleagues which makes conversations and many day-to-day activities such as shopping, working, attending social events, much more enjoyable.  Balance Mode also increases the ground clearance of the main chassis from standard 2.8” (71mm) to an impressive 9.5” (241mm).

Standard Driving Mode is for when the iBOT is being used as a normal standard wheelchair and is ideal for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Four Wheel Drive Mode ensures the iBOT can overcome individual steps, slopes and various different terrains including soft sand, gravel, rough ground, pebbles, loose ground and snow therefore allowing the user to venture into environments which would not normally be accessible in a powerchair. The Four-Wheel Drive Mode increases the maximum obstacle height to an unrivalled 5” (127mm).

Stair Climbing Mode is what truly sets the iBOT apart from any other powerchair currently available.  By selecting Stair Climbing Mode the iBOT can smoothly climb and descend stairs while being controlled by the user or assisted with an attendant making buildings fully accessible.  This means that powerchair users can live in a house with stairs and not have to always rely on a stairlift or through the floor lift to access other floors.  It can also ensure greater independence and peace of mind when visiting friends or experiencing new places when on holiday.

With standard features including a range of seating options, a maximum user capacity of 136 kg, left or right-handed ergonomic joystick, a tilt in space function for increased comfort combined with a top speed of 6.8mph (10.9kph) the iBOT truly represents the next generation in powerchairs.

“This is fantastic news for powerchair users in the UK as the iBOT takes powerchair technology to a whole new level.  To be appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for such a prestigous powerchair brand is fantastic news for us and our clients and is testamount to the high regard with which Precision Rehab is held here in the UK” commented Matthew James, Director and Co-Founder, Precision Rehab.

Also on show will be the NEW LIVE Magix 2 with unique 6-wheel drive system will once again be on show The NEW LIVE Magix 2 powerchair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its ultra-compact size and innovative 6-wheel drive system allow it to go to places that are considered inaccessible for most powerchairs and can easily climb smoothly over kerbs, steps and gaps up to 15cm. It comes with an impressive seat lift 40-80cm with other functions including back recline 90/160 degree, tilt in space -37/+10 degree, power elevating & compensating leg rest (single or individual) with footplate to floor system. The Magix 2 comes with an ergonomic range of standard seating systems and can easily be fitted with aftermarket seating, moulded seating or factory fitted V-Track for all postural requirements. The Magix 2 truly must be seen and tried to fully appreciate how agile and capable it is for both indoor and outdoor use with optimum comfort and ease.

Another model on show will be the Paravan PR30/II is a highly adaptable powerchair which can be fitted and modified with a wide range of additional equipment to meet the specific physical and medical requirements of the user.  With a maximum user capacity of 140kg which can be increased to 200kg, this latest Paravan powerchair is suitable for most users.  With a tilt in space and lift function fitted as standard which has a lilting height of up to 30cm the user can engage with people at eye level when they are in an education, business or social environment.  For increased comfort, the PR30/II has a contoured seat system with six different configurations of back and seat pads and is controlled by an ergonomic joystick which makes it extremely easy to manoeuvre in even the most confined spaces.

“We are delighted to be showcasing the iBOT along with our other powerchairs at this year’s Naidex.  Every year, the show provides us with a great opportunity to catch up with many of our existing customers from around the UK, while also making valuable new contacts” commented Matthew.

Matt and the team will be on hand throughout the show to answer any questions, demonstrate the powerchairs on show and book assessments.
