Adaptive Martial Arts (AMA) is a non for-profit organisation set up by disabled people for the benefit of members of the community who are disabled, injured or in ill health. AMA provides a comprehensive, structured and goal orientated introduction into fitness and Martial Arts. AMA uses a combination of Arts to suit the individual, giving an endless amount of possibilities to play with to empower the individual. Inspiring and enabling individuals to discover the joys and benefits of exercise, giving them the confidence to engage in the Martial Arts programme through weekly group sessions. We also offer 121 and outreach sessions for other organisations on request. Our sessions are taught by highly qualified instructors who are fully insured, DBS checked and first aid trained, all of our classes take place on mats and are designed around the class participants, flexible and most importantly fun. We aim to provide a safe, inviting and peer orientated environment where people feel comfortable in trying out exercise and Martial Arts.
