Seminar Title: Evidencing the ‘Value’ of a rehabilitation services – How to present outcomes data to support my service.

This session will explore how teams/services should be analysing and interpreting outcomes date and then presenting it to inform ways to improve service standards. The main outcome from this session will be to improve confidence that implementing outcome measurement will provide the information you are looking for to support your service. The session will
use the extensive experience there has now been with the Therapy Outcome Measure (TOMs).

About Dr Steven Ariss

Steven is a senior research fellow at the University of Sheffield. Steven has worked on a number of Therapy Outcome Measures (TOMs) research projects. He is a health services researcher with an interest in qualitative, quantitative and mixed- methods, and complex programme evaluation (including Realist and Developmental Evaluation). He was the Lead Evaluator for the NIHR CLAHRC-South Yorkshire programme and is leading the evaluation of new technologies in the combined Yorkshire and Humber CLAHRC. Steven also has an interest in using Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMS) for service improvement and carrying out qualitative data analysis for the National Audit for Intermediate Care. Steven has a BA in Sociology, a PhD in Health Studies from the University of York and a PgCert in Learning and Teaching.
