Kintsugi Clothing creates beautiful, useful apparel, designed with disabled women in mind.
We created our first collection in 2018, using feedback from fashionistas across the disabled community. Our garments include features intended to make life easier - and more stylish - for a wide range of women. For example: fuss-free fastenings, concealed pockets for medical devices and two-piece dresses and jumpsuits.
As for our namesake... kintsugi is a Japanese art and philosophy where broken pottery is repaired with gold lacquer. As a metaphor it is profound, reminding us that - as we travel through life - we pick up scars, both physical and emotional. But rather than weakening us or rendering us `broken`, they enhance our character and become part of who we are and what makes us unique.
Everybody should be able to express themselves through fashion.
