Burning Nights CRPS Support is a national UK charity working to improve life for all those affected by Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Apprxoimately15,000 people are diagnosed every year in the UK. This doesn`t include those who may have been undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. CRPS can cause a person to experience persistent, severe and debilitating pain. The condition is usually casued by a trauma such as after an injury, surgery, stroke or heart attack, but the pain is out of proportion with the severity of the initial injury or trauma. However the cause of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome isn`t clearly understood and CRPS awareness in the UK is low. As a charity we raise awareness about CRPS amongst the public, health & legal professionals by providing awareness sessions, so diagnoses can be made quicker & treatment started more rapidly. We also offer support & information through our Counselling & Psychotherapy Service, Befriending Service, evidence based website, Support Helpline, Live Chat support, Online Community Forum, email & social media support, webinars, annual conference & regular online support groups.
