Lisa Simpson

Lisa Simpson is Sense’s Artistic Director For Dance. Lisa is a choreographer and workshop leader who has pioneered new techniques for making dance and choreography inclusive.
She has quadriplegia cerebral palsy and uses nonverbal communication. Lisa developed a unique methodology for realising her own choreographic work using the Simpson Board; a choreography tool created in partnership with Adam Benjamin co-founder of Candoco Dance Company in 1995 and now delivers workshops nationally, widening access for people with disabilities to gain skills in choreography and realise their creative potential.
