Graham has spent his professional careers in the field of deafblindness and has worked extensively with people who are deafblind. He carries out training and assessments for Deafblind UK; a national charity that supports people with sight and hearing loss. Outside of work, Graham is a committed yoga teacher and practitioner and enjoys long walks in the Welsh countryside with his two dogs.
The Care Act (2014) came in to force in April 2015, outlining clear rights for people who are deafblind in particular for specialist assessments, and their potential outcomes. Five years later we pose the question of what has been the impact for this group? We will use new research to discuss if the law is being met if people are aware of their rights and how can we increase awareness.
