Brand new for 2010 is the Communication Village.
Following the appointment of Jean Gross as England’s first Communication Champion, jointly funded by the DCSF and the Department of Health, Naidex has launched a Communication Village. The Communication Village will be showcasing the latest developments in assistive technology for speech and language therapists, SEN teachers, parents and users of communication aids and assistive technologies.
Jean Gross, Communication Champion, will be responsible for working across government, delivery partners and other stakeholders to co-ordinate and build on initiatives to improve services for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
The inclusion of the Communication Village at Naidex will support the government's drive to improve the lives of children and adults with communication difficulties.
Key charities including the RNID and Communication Matters will be at the show as well as leading suppliers of assistive technology and communication aids including BT, Dynavox, Liberator Ltd and Toby Churchill who will be showcasing the latest developments in assistive technology.
Sitting alongside the popular KideQuip area, in Hall 19, there will be plenty of choice for all in communication products.
